About the team –
The Works Projects team form part of the AIS Operations Group and are responsible for the planning and delivery of capital works and infrastructure projects across the AIS Bruce, Yarralumla and Pizzey Park (Qld) facilities.
About the role –
As an Infrastructure Project Manager, part of a small team and under limited direction, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a number of capital works projects. You will work with stakeholders to develop scope and then be responsible for the procurement, delivery and handover of the asset. Projects can vary from asset replacement (cladding, roofing, mechanical services) to new asset design and construction (Team Environment Chamber, Sport Climbing Walls) – either way, by leading the upgrade and improvement to our facilities you will be a critical component in the machine that continues to provide Australia with sporting champions.
About you –
You will be a motivated individual with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience in delivering client-side project management services. Skills you will need to be successful in this role include:
* Tertiary Qualifications relevant to the role (Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering) and/or two years demonstrated experience in project management
* Experience in project development including scoping, stakeholder engagement, budget development and risk analysis
* Skills and experience in procurement and management of contracts for construction or services, preferably in a Government environment
* Highly developed written and oral communication skills and capability with a range of computer software (such as Microsoft Project, Revit, Acrobat suite etc)
* Curiosity and a drive to improve and learn
