We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Officer (AO6) to join the team and contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse range of capital infrastructure projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for capital infrastructure projects, including the preparation and calling of tenders, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management. Conduct comprehensive purchasing activities across various categories, including construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade works. Apply advanced evaluation and regulatory techniques to ensure compliance and best value outcomes. Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, operations staff, and external partners, to provide sourcing advice and guidance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers for effective contract performance and dispute resolution. Contribute to developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures aligned with best practices and regulations. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Demonstrate professionalism and contribute positively to team culture, maintaining high standards of customer service. Essential Requirements Extensive experience in a senior procurement role, with a thorough understanding of procurement functions. Proven experience in preparing and calling capital infrastructure tenders and conducting purchasing activities for construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade projects. Expertise in evaluation and regulatory techniques. Strong understanding of contract terms, conditions, negotiation, and management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a results-oriented approach.
