The Position:
We are currently looking for experienced Injury Management Advisor to join our corporate head office.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, implement and monitor return to work strategies to facilitate an employee's early and safe return to work, mitigates costs, ensures compliance with relevant work health and safety, workers compensation and injury management legislation and company policy and procedures.
- Provide timely advice and information to support employees, managers and the site safety department on health and wellbeing matters to support the implementation of departmental programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with injury management responsibilities, departmental and legislative requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate service delivery and improve injury management outcomes.
- Action WC emails where applicable.
- Identify claims of concern and in conjunction with the Injury Management Co-ordinator, external injury management consultants and the insurer to implement strategies to minimise risk to the company and ensure the injured worker has access to timely and appropriate treatment.
- Attend workers compensation file reviews with insurers, claims agents and regulators across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of external injury management provider's, treatment provider's, insurer and rehabilitation providers to ensure service delivery standards and meet return to work outcomes.
- Effectively and efficiently manage a caseload of injury management cases with minor and medium complexities.
- Arrange collection of injured workers and attend appointments when necessary.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports, submissions and responses to relevant correspondence with regard to injury management and return to work.
- Manage injury management and return to work records in line with departmental policy and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience with Injury Management, and have an understanding of engagement with all parties involved in the process
- Have a thorough understanding of Workers Compensation Legislation across multiple jurisdictions/ states
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the Mining and Resources sector will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution
- Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word
- Must have the right to work in Australia
