Strategic Financial Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive financial professional to provide strategic financial leadership for our Local Government Sector portfolio.
This role is critical in delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and management accounting support across a network of local council contracts throughout New Zealand.
* Act as a strategic partner to the Local Government Sector, providing financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
* Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to senior management.
* Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
As a strategic finance leader, you will have strong management accounting experience, a customer-centric focus, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
You will demonstrate and possess:
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or similar.
* Hold CPA or CA membership, or nearing completion.
* Highly developed communication and robust stakeholder engagement ability.
* Proactive approach to relationship management and business partnering.
* Solution-oriented and collaborative style.
* Experience and knowledge of Navision/D365 F&O highly desirable.
