As a Speech Pathologist working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will play a crucial role in improving the lives of individuals with communication disorders and swallowing difficulties. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join and manage a caseload in the Gympie region. Start & finish your day from home! Flexible calendar management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients needs and goals
- Provide therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication skills and overcome challenges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for NDIS participants
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, progress notes, and reports
- Educate and support families and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
- Stay updated on the latest research and evidence-based practices in speech pathology
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services
- Manage caseloads effectively and meet NDIS reporting requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Positive knowledge of speech and language development, communication disorders, and treatment approaches
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including children and adults with disabilities
- Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its processes
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and report writing
- Proficiency in using assistive communication technologies and devices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid driver\'s license and willingness to travel to provide home-based services when required
