Senior Audio/Sound Technician for Live Entertainment (Contract) - Century Venues

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sound Engineer to join our dynamic team and help bring our productions to life.
About the Role: As a Senior Audio/Sound Technician at Century, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating FOH/monitors systems for a wide range of live events and performances. You will work closely with directors, production teams, and other technical staff to ensure that every performance sounds great and runs smoothly. Century Venues has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Production team as a skilled audio technician to work across our entertainment venues. The right candidate must be passionate about music, comedy and entertainment, and have solid experience working with all aspects of live entertainment in venues.
Key priorities for the Senior Audio/Sound Technician position include, but are not limited to:
- Operating and mixing FOH / MON for all types of live performances
- Familiar with Analogue and Digital audio systems
- Has used and is familiar with a selection of Analogue and Digital Consoles
- Patching and mic’ing techniques for live performances
- Conducting regular cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of sound equipment.
- Representing the Group through liaison with Tour Managers, Production Managers, Artists, Promoters and our Clients on show days.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving for audio systems
- Maintaining a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures
- Taking responsibility of stage and production areas
What You’ll Need:
- Preferred experience as a Audio/Sound Operator, preferably within the live entertainment industry.
- Strong knowledge of audio consoles, fixtures, and other related equipment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules.
- A passion for live entertainment and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
