Our client is a heritage Australian furniture brand with over 40 years of history, built on exceptional material integrity, craftsmanship, and long-standing family relationships. Now led by the next generation, the business is entering a new chapter; modernising design, evolving business practices, and expanding its audience while staying true to its legacy. With exclusive access to two of the finest manufacturing facilities in Asia, the brand specialises in high-end furniture that rivals the best globally. Entirely direct-to-consumer and trade-focused, the business has grown organically through word-of-mouth and reputation, and is now poised for its next phase of considered growth.
This newly created National Sales Manager role is a pivotal hire designed to unlock the brand's B2B and trade potential. Working closely with the Director, you'll take ownership of national sales strategy and execution - particularly across hospitality, landscape, interior design, and architectural projects. This is a hands‐on, relationship‐driven role suited to someone who understands how major projects are born, who's building the next hotel, venue, or residential development, and how to get premium furniture specified early. You'll have genuine autonomy to shape the role, grow with the business, and help define what the next generation of this legacy brand looks like. You'll also oversee the Sydney showroom, spending time on the floor to ensure it's commercially sharp, beautifully presented, and operating as a true sales and relationship‐building hub rather than just a display space.
Location: Sydney.
Salary: $120k + super + performance based commission (dependent on experience).
Key Responsibilities
* Drive national B2B and trade sales across hospitality, commercial, residential, and design‐led projects.
* Build and nurture relationships with interior designers, architects, landscape designers, developers, and specifiers.
* Identify upcoming projects and proactively pitch furniture solutions aligned to each brief.
* Develop and optimise showroom performance, ensuring spaces are presentation‐ready and commercially effective.
* Collaborate closely with the Director on growth strategy, new collections, and long‐term brand positioning.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in B2B sales within furniture, interiors, design, architecture, or a closely related industry.
* Strong industry network and commercial instincts - you know where projects start and how to influence outcomes.
* A self‐starter mindset with the confidence to work autonomously and build something meaningful from the ground up.
* Appreciation for craftsmanship, design, and heritage brands - you see potential, not just current‐state reality.
* Flexibility in working style, the ability to travel across the country, and motivation to grow with the business long‐term.
