Cloud Infrastructure Specialist - VMware
Your new company
You'll be joining a high‑performing Cloud Services team responsible for delivering secure, reliable private‑cloud and virtualisation services across a large, multi‑tenant environment. The team manages key ICT assets including data centres, virtual infrastructure, networks, and core operational platforms that support critical services across government and enterprise customers.
Your new role
As the Senior Cloud Specialist, you will provide advanced technical support and hands‑on administration across VMware/Broadcom platforms, including vCloud Foundation, vSphere, NSX‑T, vCloud Director and Aria Suite. You will contribute to customer onboarding, platform optimisation, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and continuous improvement activities. You'll also assist with tenders, workshops, solution demonstrations, and emerging technology research, all while maintaining strong service levels and operational stability. Some rostered and after‑hours work will form part of the role.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong, proven experience with VMware/Broadcom technologies (vCF/SDDC, vSphere, NSX‑T, vCloud Director, Aria).
Experience managing on‑prem private cloud platforms across provisioning, migrations, performance, and security.
Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell/PowerCLI, Terraform, or similar) with an understanding of DevOps principles.
Knowledge of network virtualisation and enterprise networking.
Experience with HPE and OneView is highly regarded, along with broader infrastructure (SAN/storage) exposure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers, engineers, and technical stakeholders.
A proactive, improvement‑minded approach and comfort working within structured processes and change frameworks.
