About The Role
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping operations running smoothly?
We're looking for a skilled and organised Maintenance Specialist to take on a dynamic dual-role position.
This role combines hands-on equipment and facility maintenance with the development and continuous improvement of our plant's preventive maintenance plan.
The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical expertise, a proactive mindset, and excellent organisational skills to help maximise uptime, drive operational efficiency, and support production excellence.
In our fast-paced environment, you'll need to multitask effectively while upholding our True Colours – the MCC Behaviours.
We're looking for someone who is dedicated, competent, accountable, and always driving for results.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Heidelberg offset presses, die-cutting equipment, related pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as general facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Act swiftly to resolve equipment failures, minimising downtime and ensuring continuous production flow and maintain critical spare parts inventory.
Develop and manage a robust preventive maintenance program based on OEM guidelines and historical performance data.
Schedule and execute planned maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production, while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
Partner with Production and Quality teams to align maintenance efforts with operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Uphold all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and liaise with OEMs and vendors for technical support and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a printing or packaging manufacturing environment.
(Heidelberg press and die cut machine experience would be desirable)
Proven experience in preventive maintenance planning.
Technical diploma or trade certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics or related field preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
High level of autonomy and adaptability.
Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
