About the role
Coastal Asbestos is seeking experienced part-time demolition labourers to join our team in Arundel, Queensland. As a demolition labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our asbestos removal and building demolition operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the trades and services industry.
What you'll be doing
* Safely operate demolition equipment and hand tools to dismantle and remove building materials
* Carefully handle and dispose of asbestos-containing materials in compliance with industry regulations
* Assist with the loading and unloading of demolition waste and debris
* Maintain a clean and organised work site throughout the demolition process
* Work collaboratively with the broader demolition team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards
* Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a demolition labourer or in a similar construction/trades role
* Knowledge of safe asbestos handling and disposal practices
* Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
* A commitment to workplace health and safety
* A current Queensland driver's licence
