Allygroup is seeking an experienced Freedom of Information (FOI) professional to join one of the highest-profile FOI teams within the Federal government. This secondment offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering FOI services within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, helping teams respond effectively to information requests and support informed decision-making across government.
Role overview
This is a full-time secondment opportunity, with the role based in one of the following locations: Canberra, Adelaide, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Sydney, or Brisbane. The initial contract term is six months, with an opportunity for extension.
While this is a contract position, the department is seeking someone who brings genuine commitment to the team and its work. For the right candidate, this could evolve into a long-term opportunity with lasting impact.
Candidate requirements
* Demonstrated experience in applying Freedom of Information (FOI) legislation
* Proven ability to exercise statutory delegations appropriately
* Strong decision-making skills in complex or sensitive matters
* Familiarity with government policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks
* Ability to interpret and apply legal and policy documents with accuracy
* Must be an Australian citizen and hold (or be willing to obtain) a Baseline security clearance.
