AutoPacific Group is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle across our wide range of frontal protection systems.In this pivotal role, you will oversee design, validation, and launch activities, ensuring all products meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery targets. With a focus on safe working practices, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement, you will play a key role in driving strategic business outcomes and operational success.You'll be joining a collaborative and future-focused team where innovation, accountability, and leadership go hand-in-hand.Role ResponsibilitiesAs Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include -Leading the product development process from concept through to launch, ensuring swift time to market whilst ensuring alignment with cost and quality targets.Driving a high-performance engineering culture and coaching your team to achieve individual and collective successEnsuring compliance with relevant engineering standards, including ADRs, industry codes, and customer specificationsManaging ECNs, drawing requirements, jig design and implementationSupporting product improvement initiatives and ongoing customer support for technical and quality concernsAligning team objectives with business strategy and contributing to strategic engineering directionImplementing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high product performance and customer satisfactionPromoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace in line with AutoPacific’s HSE policiesAbout YouWe’re looking for a confident and collaborative leader with -· Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical (mandatory).· Professional Membership to CPEng and RPEQ membership or eligibility (mandatory).· Proven production design experience, ideally gained in sheet metal fabrication.(mandatory).· Extensive engineering design experience, preferably in the automotive industry.· Previous experience in a management position.· Knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals, drafting techniques and standards (mandatory).· Sound experience with 3D CAD modelling including FEA (mandatory).· Demonstrated knowledge of design for manufacture and AS1100 drawing standards· Extensive end-to-end Project Management experience (mandatory).· Demonstrated ability with coaching and building a positive team environment as well as coaching· Understanding of vehicle safety systems such as occupant protection airbags, AEB and parking sensors· Hands on skills working on vehicles and metal fabrication (desired)Why Join Us?At AutoPacific Group, people are at the heart of all we do.
