We are looking for a qualified and experienced Cook who can join our team and lead together to collaborative growth of our Hotel.
Your Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Prepare, season and cook food as directed while meeting dietary requirements Demonstrate a high standard of personal hygiene Apply skills in a wide range of cookery methods to produce a variety of menu items Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements Ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen Examine food items to ensure high quality Prepare and use specialised kitchen equipment Store food in the cool room in the appropriate sections Communicate with other staff members of the kitchen team and food service staff Portion food, place it on plates and add gravies, sauces and final garnishes Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Clean and organise the kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations Minimise food spoilage and wastage Follow recipes and presentation specifications Work cooperatively with other members of the kitchen team Preserve and store food items at appropriate temperatures Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Demonstrate strong work ethics and a ‘can do’ attitude to motivate the team and maintain good relationships with management and colleagues Organise and control stock delivery to required safety and hygiene standards Skills and experience You must be fully qualified – atleast AQF associate Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification. One year experience as a Cook in a busy kitchen Experience in the smooth running of food service for the entirety of the shift This position is a full-time (38 hours per week, minimum) salary range between $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.
