The Australian Marine Oil Spill Centre (AMOSC) is a not-for-profit subsidiary company of the Australian Institute of Petroleum (AIP) and has a membership base consisting of high-profile energy companies in Australia.
AMOSC's primary purpose is as an emergency response organisation, providing resources to industry and government as a result of an incident in Australia's marine environment. AMOSC owns and operates the industry's major spill response facilities including stockpiles of spill response equipment and sub-surface intervention equipment. AMOSC's permanent staff of 16 are available 24/7, and the centre relies on a core group of industry experts of 80+. AMOSC has multiple facilities located in Geelong, Fremantle, Exmouth and Broome.
AMOSC also provides training, advice, auditing, contingency planning and exercise management services to the industry, as well as representing the industry across a range of relevant forums and working groups. AMOSC drives good response practises across national and international organisations.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work as a Manager Business Services in Geelong for a not-for profit organisation whose focus is marine environmental protection capability for Australia.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager Business Services will play a crucial role in providing core leadership to the Business Services Team, and service delivery across the organisation. With a strong background in managing internal business operations, the Manager Business Services will ensure the most efficient and highest quality of systems are being utilised by the organisation.
To be considered for this role, you will be a proven leader with the ability to lift the capability of teams while uplifting and maintaining culture within the organisation. With a diverse and highly capable background, you have strong contract management and service delivery experience. You have a desire to drive change and innovation through a small, enthusiastic team based across two locations, and an interest in exploring and embedding digital solutions.
Through a strategic lens, you can identify new opportunities for business improvement while enhancing administration practices. Having exposure to HR or IT services is advantageous.
