About the Role
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation invites applications for the position of Grants Officer within its Business Services Section. The Grants Officer reports to the Grants & Contracts Manager and is responsible for supporting the organisation in meeting funding terms, monitoring grant performance, and ensuring compliance with grant submission and reporting requirements.
* Provide high‐quality grants management support across administrative activities, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and identifying risks.
* Prepare and analyse information for the Grants and Contracts Manager, assist with communications, and support the drafting of reports and submissions.
* Assist Executive and Program Managers with reporting deadlines, providing templates and notifications as required.
* Maintain internal monitoring tools, contribute to the development of grants management systems, and enhance compliance outcomes.
* Identify and pursue new grant opportunities from government and non‐government sources that align with the organisation's programs, drafting proposals in partnership with senior staff.
* Ensure secure handling of confidential records, promote best practice record management, and maintain strong relationships with funding partners and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Finance Team for remittance tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.
* Co‐deliver grant education and information sessions to upskill staff in grants development and compliance.
* Adhere to organisation policies and use approved IT applications for electronic data management.
* Seek continuous professional development and support business continuity within the Business Services Section.
About You
You possess substantial experience managing complex multi‐grant terms and conditions for both governmental and non‐government funding bodies. Your communication skills are strong in both written and verbal forms, with a proven ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders in a primary healthcare environment. You excel at data collection, analysis, and reporting, and you understand the cultural and health issues affecting Aboriginal communities. Remote work experience is an advantage but not required.
Prior to commencement you must hold a current Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's) and a satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
Essential Skills And Experience
* Demonstrated ability to identify and secure both government and non‐government funding opportunities.
* Respect for traditional Aboriginal culture and the ability to communicate sensitively with culturally diverse populations.
* Proven experience writing and applying for grants and managing their terms and conditions.
* Financial and narrative reporting experience, including grant acquittal across various funding bodies.
* High‐level written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement.
* Knowledge of social and health issues confronting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.
* Project management experience with strong time‐management and detail orientation.
* Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners and manage relationships effectively.
* Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or Financial Services, or a demonstrated plan to obtain the qualification within an agreed timeframe.
