Step into a high-impact leadership role managing the safe and efficient operations of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport, a key regional transport hub. This is a rare opportunity to bring your aviation expertise into a pivotal position backed by a progressive local government.
The Role
Reporting to the Director Corporate & Commercial, you'll oversee airport operations, safety, compliance and stakeholder engagement. You’ll lead a dedicated team and drive continuous improvement in performance and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead overall airport operations and ensure compliance with all regulations
* Manage emergency and security plans, audits and inspections
* Oversee technical inspections and remediation of Obstacle Limitation Surfaces
* Supervise safety and security screening procedures
* Manage budgets and reporting
* Support infrastructure projects and stakeholder engagement
About You
You’re a decisive leader with a strong background in aviation operations or airport management, and a keen eye for compliance, safety and strategic planning.
You’ll need:
* Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in regional or capital city airport operations
* Aviation Lead Auditor and Investigation qualifications
* Radiotelephony Licence and eligibility for AusCheck ASIC
* WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance
Highly regarded:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or relevant safety certifications
* Budget and financial reporting experience
* Team leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
* Existing connections with airlines or airport networks
