**About the role**:
This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth staffing of adult medical and surgical wards. You'll work closely with Nurse Unit Managers, In-Charge Nurses, and Clinical Support Officers to assign short-term and alternate staff as needed. Your strong decision-making skills will help prioritise staffing needs and communicate assignments to casual staff.
Under the guidance of Michelle Curry (NUM), you will work autonomously in a supportive team that values professional growth and collaboration.
Your duties will include.
- Managing the staffing database
- Processing leave requests and payroll
- Handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
In line with the unit's commitment to continuous service, the role operates on two shifts: AM (0600-1430) and PM (1400-2230), operating seven days a week, including public holidays.
