This role requires a motivational and purpose-driven leader who thrives in a results-oriented environment while demonstrating the Bank’s values of integrity, curiosity, accountability, respect, and engagement.This is a leadership role that not only delivers results, it strengthens a culture where people feel proud of the work they do, the outcomes they achieve, and the members they serve.About the roleProvide clear direction, strategic guidance, and inspirational leadership to the Relationship Management teamSet individual and team performance goals aligned with the Bank's objectives and monitor progress against KPIs. Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews, identifying training and development needs.Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented team culture.Lead by example in relationship management and Member engagement best practices.Business Development & Growth:Develop and implement strategies for Member acquisition, retention, and portfolio growth.Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.Member Relationship Management:Champion a member centric approach, ensuring the delivery of personalised and proactive service.Act as a point of escalation for complex member issues, ensuring timely resolution.Monitor member feedback and implement strategies for continuous improvement.Policy Monitoring & Stakeholder Engagement:Keep abreast of internal and external policy changes, regulatory updates, and industry developments.Communicate relevant updates to the team and liaise with stakeholders to maintain compliance and best practice.Accurately track and report on sales performance, lending retention, and lead generation. Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and reporting.Quality Assurance & Audit Oversight:Ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and risk management are met by monitoring the team’s work through regular audits, quality assurance checks, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory obligations.Member Engagement & Service Delivery:Support member enquiries and relationship development across multiple channels (face-to-face, phone, web), delivering exceptional service and promoting opportunities to increase share of wallet.Assist the Head of Relationships with administrative, operational, and strategic leadership tasks, supporting broader team performance and alignment to Bank goals.Provide detailed reporting insights to the Head of Relationships, Retail Teams, and Executive Leadership, including portfolio trends and market comparisons.Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and workflows.Compliance & Legislative Adherence:Maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and the Bank’s risk appetite.About YouPrevious experience as a Relationship Manager within the Australian banking space – proven leadership and coaching experience in a sales-driven environment is desirableTertiary qualifications in finance, business, or a related field are desirable.Strong understanding of lending products, retention strategies, and digital sales channels.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to develop training materials and deliver effective learning sessions.Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and performance metrics.Thorough knowledge of compliance requirements, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment and drive high levels of team performance.Achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets, including new member acquisition, portfolio growth, and cross-selling of financial products and services.Managing and growing a portfolio of member relationships, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.Why Join Us?Be part of a purpose-led organisation supporting the police community.Lead a key team that directly contributes to delivering excellent outcomes for our members.Join a supportive, down-to-earth workplace that values trust, service, and teamwork.If you are a highly motivated and results-oriented professional, we encourage you to apply.Police Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
