Job Description
The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily museum operations, leading staff and volunteers, and delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and develop exhibits, including displays and exhibition pieces.
* Plan launch events and collaborate with Council facilities to develop an annual exhibition calendar.
* Identify grant opportunities and manage the museum catalogue.
* Build networks with regional and state museums and cultural organisations.
Operations & Customer Service
Deliver exceptional customer service and act as the first point of contact for enquiries. Supervise and support staff and volunteers, manage POS operations, and maintain the museum's surroundings.
* Prepare accurate visitor statistics and operational reports.
* Conduct guided tours and assist with community events.
Leadership & Administration
Develop and implement policies and procedures. Represent the Council on the Friends of John Flynn Place Committee and collaborate with other teams on shared initiatives.
