SP2 (PM) - Thigh Line - Machine Setter

Primary Objective
The Machine Setter plays a critical role in ensuring that production processes operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the production schedule. This includes setting, monitoring, and troubleshooting machinery to maximise product yield, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role is predominantly on the production floor and requires close collaboration with production teams, maintenance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Set machines to meet production requirements while ensuring maximum yield and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot machine performance, identifying and resolving faults in a timely manner.
- Assist maintenance teams in resolving machine performance and downtime issues.
- Escalate machinery reliability issues and initiate maintenance requests when necessary.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the general work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Production & Process Efficiency
- Follow the production plan and escalat>e significant deviations to the appropriate leader.
- Work in compliance with company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Identify and suggest system or process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Cooperate with continuous improvement initiatives and contribute actively to problem‑solving efforts.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other food safety standards.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
- Monitor and report on non‑conformance related to product quality, throughput, yield, and machine performance.
- Ensure adherence to RSPCA, animal welfare, and food safety standards.
Workplace Health & Safety (OHS)
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any incidents, accidents, near misses, or hazards promptly.
- Take reasonable care of personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
- Participate in safety training and initiatives to maintain a protected working environment.
