Our focus has always been on quality and compliance, ensuring strict quality controls from design through to production, and now into Service and Maintenance.
We're currently looking for an experienced, detail-driven electrician to join our GEM Onsite team. In this role, you'll be carrying out maintenance and compliance testing on critical electrical systems for a range of clients. You'll work across LV switchboards, ACBs, PFC systems, RCDs, and emergency lighting, delivering work to Australian Standards and GEM's high expectations.
You'll be field-based, mainly on the Central Coast, and will have the autonomy to get the job done right while working safely and professionally. This is a hands-on role where quality workmanship, accurate reporting, and great communication matter.
About you:
Qualifications & experience
- NSW Electrical License (Supervisor Certificate minimum)
- Current Driver's License, White Card, LVR/CPR & First Aid
- Minimum 5 years Service & Maintenance (LV Switchgear, PFCs and ACBs) experience required
- Thermography certification preferred (not essential)
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Completed electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Carry out LV switchboard maintenance, both energised and de-energised, to Australian Standards
- Service and test ACBs, PFC systems, RCDs, and emergency lighting
- Perform thermal imaging inspections and produce clear, accurate reports
- Follow safe work practices, complete compliance paperwork, and meet deadlines
- Mentor apprentices, work closely with clients, and uphold GEM's high standards
