Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established to deliver long-duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that support Queensland's transition to a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system. In June 2025, oversight of Queensland Hydro was transferred to Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC). Queensland Hydro works closely with QIC, the Queensland Government and other stakeholders to deliver a commercial assessment of the Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage project.

As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a vital role in shaping a sustainable energy future for Queensland, delivering impactful solutions that benefit our communities and the environment.
This position can be a site-based role (near Imbil QLD) on a 5/2 roster OR based in our Nambour office with regular visits to site.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a Senior Contract Administrator who will be responsible for providing commercial management expertise during the Exploratory Works phase of the project and future phases. You will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual inputs for key packages in relation to the management, interpretation and application of the contracts for the project packages of works. Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Support commercial and contracting strategy development for key contracts
* Pro-actively manage post award contract management along with Project leads to ascertain adherence to contractual requirements and ongoing project needs.
* Manage all post award contract management activities including payments, variations, correspondence and notice.
* Formulate contracts (terms and schedules) with inputs from required stakeholders based on project requirements.
* Lead contract related issue/dispute resolution with support from legal and other cross functional stakeholders as required.
Who You Are
To be successful in this position, you will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline - Finance, Business Management, or related field with significant experience in a similar role in large/complex construction projects. Additionally, you will need:
* Sound knowledge of key contracting principles.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
* Ability to resolve complex contractual matters in liaison with required stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience of managing strict governance requirements and delivering required project outcomes.
* Strong stakeholder relationship building and management skills, with a mindset of achieving win-win outcomes.
* A sound understanding of infrastructure project delivery requirements.
