We're seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our dedicated team in the Urgent Care Centre for a 6-month fixed-term role, with opportunity to extend. This is a rare opportunity to step into a key leadership position where your clinical expertise and team leadership will directly impact the quality of urgent care in our community.
About the Role
As the ANUM, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You'll lead by example, mentor junior staff, and ensure efficient patient flow while fostering a positive, safe, and collaborative workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager in clinical and operational leadership
* Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in line with best practices
* Coordinate staffing and patient flow to ensure timely and effective service delivery
* Promote continuous improvement and contribute to staff development and education
* Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
About You
You're an experienced, compassionate, and motivated nurse leader with a passion for urgent care and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You thrive in fast-moving environments, inspire confidence in your team, and are always focused on delivering exceptional care.
You Will Have
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent, or working towards
* Advanced Life Support/Paediatric Advanced Life Support competent.
* Clinical experience in the relevant specialty including Triage experience.
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* A desire to make a difference in a regional healthcare setting
* Commitment to professional growth and development in leadership.
