This is a permanent full‑time position commencing ASAP.
The Infrastructure division is responsible for the planning, construction and maintenance of the Department’s schools and building facilities. Infrastructure services include:
School and facility planning Capital works on new and existing schools Maintenance of existing schools Management and operational support of school facilities and resources
The Role
As a Principal Consultant – Facilities Planning, the role involves contributing to the development of strategic plans and initiatives, preparing feasibility studies to support proposals, conducting audits, and providing informed recommendations and reports relevant to Western Australian Government schools. The role also includes providing strategic advice to senior management and preparing responses for ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions, general enquiries and reports.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing staff performance, monitoring leave entitlements and ensuring compliance with awards, agreements and departmental policy.
Stakeholder management and liaison, maintaining effective working relationships with a range of clients.
Communication with senior management and relevant stakeholders.
