Job Overview
Continuing, Full-Time position in the Students Directorate at CQUniversity across the campuses of Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and Sydney. This is a Higher Education Worker Level 8 role with total remuneration of $135,403 to $150,810 per annum (including a base salary of $114,418 to $127,437 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading).
Responsibilities
As a key leader within Student Advising, you will shape a consistent, high‐quality advising model across CQUniversity. Your primary objectives are to design and implement advising frameworks, tools, and capability initiatives that enable personalised, evidence‐based support across the student lifecycle. You will analyse advising data and student insights to drive continuous improvement, collaborate with stakeholders to embed best practice, and support change initiatives that strengthen the student success ecosystem.
Position Requirements
* Demonstrated experience designing and implementing student advising, support or student success frameworks in a complex organisation.
* Proven ability to analyse data and insights to inform decision‐making, continuous improvement and strategic outcomes.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence practice across diverse teams.
* Experience developing capability uplift initiatives, including training, resources or professional learning programmes.
* High‐level organisational and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
