About the Opportunity Trade Assistants are required to support the Piping and Mechanical Team with the preparation of materials, tooling, and equipment, as well as general cleaning duties within a shipbuilding environment, as directed by the immediate Supervisor. Carry out cleaning duties as required throughout the workshop and ships under construction Understand, embrace, implement and comply with all Austal Policies and Procedures related to HSEQ Hold self and workmates accountable to HSEQ standards Ensuring good housekeeping is practiced You’ll Need Essential Current Driver’s Licence Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team Capable of Performing work in a safe and acceptable manner Ability to use standard tools Possesses good time management skills and ability to meet targets set by the supervisor. Be fit and healthy Hold or studying toward a cert 2 in Engineering 1 year Experience in Engineering or Construction industry as a trade assistant Desirable Forklift License EWP 11m Work in accordance with an issued permit Demonstrate First Attack Fire Fighting Equipment 1 year Experience in Confined Space Entry Sentry and First Sentry Why Join Us?
