 
        
        Job Title: Law Enforcement Leader 
The City of Woodstock, Georgia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced law enforcement professional to serve as its Chief of Police. This key leadership position requires a strong understanding of modern policing strategies and techniques, as well as the ability to foster trust and collaboration within the community. 
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience in law enforcement, with increasing levels of responsibility. A master's degree and completion of a law enforcement executive development course are preferred. 
This role involves overseeing patrol operations, criminal investigations, support services, training, community outreach, and crime prevention initiatives. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator and bridge-builder, both internally and externally. 
They will work closely with the City Manager and other city departments to coordinate efforts that enhance public safety, improve quality of life, and support the city's long-term vision. In addition, they will be responsible for developing and managing the department's budget, ensuring fiscal accountability. 
As a trusted guardian of the city's safety, the Chief of Police will embody the values of service, accountability, and community partnership. They will inspire, mentor, and develop sworn and civilian personnel, emphasizing training, wellness, career development, and leadership succession.

Key Responsibilities:
