The Business Analyst plays a critical role within the Transformation and Implementation team, supporting the delivery of critical initiatives to improve customer experience across the Optus Customer Success division. Operating in a fast-paced, agile environment, the role involves working closely with business SMEs and stakeholders to implement change, often leading streams of work and managing daily agile ceremonies. Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, the ability to balance complex business processes and business partner needs, and a pragmatic approach to delivering solutions within system, time, and budget constraints.
Your day to day will consist of...
* Effectively engaging and collaborating with stakeholders and SMEs to capture future-state design, facilitate workshops, and clearly communicate transformation goals and changing business requirements.
* Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down functional designs, identify process improvements, and maintain a high level of accuracy and documentation quality.
* Leading business requirement gathering, supporting user experience design, mapping requirements to solutions, and ensuring business owners understand and are prepared to support operational changes.
* Thrive in a fast-paced, agile or hybrid transformation environment, while being comfortable with change, and take initiative to drive outcomes, mentor peers, and challenge the status quo for improved ways of working.
* Committing to meeting expectations, driving progress against roadmaps, and producing timely, accurate artefacts to support initiative success.
* Working effectively with teams across Strategy, Digital, CX, Legal, Regulatory, and more, to align on priorities and ensure cohesive, customer-focused outcomes.
* Assisting Delivery Managers with program reporting, cadence ceremonies, and governance needs, while also leading or facilitating workshops and supporting change and adoption activities.
What makes you perfect for the role?
* Relevant professional qualifications, with at least one technology, IT, business, or Agile-related certification (e.g. Scrum Master, PM certification) or relevant industry training or equivalent experience.
* Hands on minimum 3+ years in business analysis with exposure to project or program management, ideally in a complex operational or matrix transformation environment; change management experience is advantageous.
* Demonstrated ability to work across Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with hands-on experience using tools like Jira and Kanban to manage backlogs and track progress.
* Proven experience leading discovery phases, contributing to project planning, mentoring team members (including BAs), and actively supporting cross-functional delivery efforts.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage, influence, and facilitate workshops with a wide range of stakeholders and SMEs.
* Organised, proactive, and solution-focused, with strong problem-solving abilities, an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a customer-first digital innovation approach.
