This is a permanent part-time (0.12FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025 Carnamah District High School (DHS) is seeking to appoint a hardworking and motivated Home Economics Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

Find out more about our school by visiting or The Role The successful applicant will ideally work effectively in a team environment and should be able to show initiative and organisational skills in order to achieve this consistently.
Strong communication skills are essential for the role, which will include interacting with students and teaching professionals.
Previous experience in the safe and hygienic storage and handling of food is desirable.
The successful applicant will be required to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources for use in classes, and assist the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities.
The successful applicant will also be required to undertake regular cleaning activities as directed, assist with the management of resources by maintaining and updating inventory lists, collating recipes, purchasing groceries, and monitoring stock levels and requirements, and reporting these to the teacher.
They will also provide administrative support.
