Enrolment numbers for **** are at 940 students and talented athletes are drawn from across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Sutherland councils.
The student population is diverse with students from varying cultural backgrounds and there is an Autism Support Unit, Elouera, that currently consists of seven classes.
There is also a significant enrolment of Aboriginal students (17%) and we are committed to closing the gap between the educational outcomes of indigenous and nonindigenous students.

Specific Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria, Approval to teach special education, with extensive experience teaching students with autism and diverse complex learning and support needs, combined with a proven track record of leading a Special Education Support Unit by establishing and managing new classes, fostering inclusive practices, and guiding a collaborative team to enhance student outcomes.
Demonstrated expertise in leading and mentoring staff in the collaborative development, implementation, and assessment of differentiated teaching and learning programmes tailored to students with complex and diverse learning, behavioural, and support needs, with proven ability to effectively evaluate programmes to ensure continuous improvement.
Proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships and partnerships with students, families, allied health professionals, external agencies, and staff to deliver coordinated, individualised support, effective transition planning, and whole school approaches that promote inclusion and wellbeing.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively as a member of the school executive team, demonstrating strong leadership in inclusive practices and a thorough understanding of policies that promote equity and support for students with disabilities, while driving whole school initiatives to improve outcomes and professional learning.
General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programmes.
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
