Role Overview
The Reference Data Services Sr Manager is responsible for managing professional teams and departments, integrating industry expertise, and contributing to operational standards. The role requires an understanding of how various areas within the sub-function collaborate and align with the broader organizational objectives. It involves managing volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of results, with responsibilities including planning, budgeting, policy formulation, and resource management. Full management duties encompass performance evaluation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and budget approval.
Responsibilities
1. Manage complex issues impacting multiple operational areas, lead projects, and resolve escalated issues.
2. Coordinate with various Operations teams and departments.
3. Serve as an expert in processes or procedures, representing the team in cross-functional initiatives.
4. Stay updated on operational procedures and best practices to recommend tailored solutions.
5. Act as a subject matter expert in business planning and analysis for the supported operations area.
6. Mentor and advise new or junior personnel across multiple functions.
7. Oversee resource management and work allocation for multiple teams and projects, influencing senior leaders and external parties as needed.
8. Guide team members to meet targets and demonstrate commitment to diversity and employee development.
9. Assess risks in business decisions, ensure compliance, and uphold ethical standards, managing control issues transparently.
Qualifications
* Strong management skills with operational experience.
* 6-10 years of relevant experience.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
