The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs, and Ventia, has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5 km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope includes a 10.5 km motorway, over 4 km of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance offers the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be part of an iconic project, with career stability, and opportunities for progression and development.
The Role
As a precast site engineer, you will coordinate precast concrete works during the construction phase, resolve technical issues, and drive efficiency in the design and manufacture of precast concrete.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Coordinate with construction teams to develop precast concrete design solutions for project delivery.
* Participate in developing cost-optimized and constructible precast concrete solutions.
* Focus on optimizing design solutions, reusing proven designs, and standardizing precast elements.
* Support construction teams in managing suppliers to achieve time, cost, and quality targets.
* Lead resolution of technical issues related to design detailing and manufacturing of precast concrete elements.
* Conduct quality and compliance inspections of precast concrete facilities and products.
* Identify and report issues related to design and supply of precast concrete to management.
* Collaborate with construction teams and heavy lift specialists to improve detailing and drive continuous improvement.
* Manage subcontractors' work and performance to achieve project outcomes.
* Utilize effective time management and sequencing skills for work planning.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
* Experience in precast concrete production, construction site operations, or structural engineering preferred.
* Knowledge of construction processes, precast technology, and relevant standards.
* Experience in major civil infrastructure projects or similar.
* Understanding of project management structures, plans, standards, and their implications.
