About the role
The purpose of this role is to design, strategically lead and sustain the Clinical Trials Unit at the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR), a state-wide mental health research service hosted by the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service.
About you
- Expert knowledge in clinical trials methodology, research ethic and governance, and conduct in clinical and health service settings including, but not limited to, protocol development, budget negotiation, monitoring of key outcomes and safety endpoints related to clinical trial treatments drawing on the clinical skills of the Research Manager Clinical Trials Unit fo adavanced clinical assessment and problem solving, and completion of accurate Case Report Forms with veribiable source documentation and data entry.
- Expert ability to provide strategic and operational management of a multi-disciplinary research team within a complex health service environment.
- Expert ability to develop and maintain strong networks with senior stakeholders within academic/research centres, government, national and international institutions, and commercial and not-for-profit agencies, to facilitate effective research project execution and outcome delivery.
- Expert ability to problem-solve and exercise independent professional judgement in design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials research projects.
- A track record of research outcome delivery including academic publications, competitive research grants and/or government reports publications
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of a bachelor's degree from a recognised tertiary institution, a relevant postgraduate qualification, and relevant experience in clinical trials and managing large research programs.
