Volunteer Driver Mentor, Braking the Cycle - PCYC Warwick
PCYC Queensland (QPCYWA) – Warwick QLD is a community-based organisation concerned with the development of youth through the provision of sporting and recreational activities.
One of the many programmes PCYC Queensland delivers is the Braking the Cycle programme.
Braking the Cycle is a learner mentor driving programme that aims to provide young people with increased employment opportunities, community connection and road safety education.
We support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours.
Our mentors are critical to the success of the programme and act as positive adult role models as well as driving supervisors.
We ask that all driver mentors hold an Open Driver's Licence for 12 months, have a good traffic history and have or be able to apply for a Blue Card.
Training on the role will be provided.
We also supply the vehicle and insurance for conducting driving sessions.
