NES Fircroft is supporting our valued client, INPEX, who is seeking a Senior Subsurface Data and Technology Specialist to join their Perth team on a contract until December 2025. Position Objective Seismic Data ManagementManage subsurface data and documents across exploration, development, geoscience, reservoir, production, GIS, and permit domains, ensuring data quality, standards, compliance, and governance policies are met.Lead initiatives to improve data management, including acquisition, loading, archiving, organizing, and searching data to support upstream projects.Oversee data and document management within corporate and project data stores, adhering to best practices.Ensure consistent data management practices and act as a liaison between asset/discipline teams and data management.Maintain operational quality assurance and quality control processes to support a robust upstream database. Primary Responsibilities OHS Conduct all activities safely and efficiently, complying with company policies.Protect personnel welfare, assets, and the environment at all times. Seismic/Geophysics Expertise Manage preliminary and final deliverables data.Understand 2D & 3D seismic formats and products, including Time and Depth data.Handle deliverables like observer reports, stacks, gathers, velocities, PSDM, SEGY, SEGD, etc.Manage data delivery to end users, partners, and vendors.Skills in sourcing, loading, and identifying datasets in consultation with customers.Knowledge of NOPTA submission requirements.GIS skills for georeferencing TIF images (Petrosys/Petrel).Manage GPInfo data and update permits/spatial layers for DBmap and Petrel Studio.Facilitate transcription requests (physical to digital, tape to USB, images to files). Data Analysis Investigate data quality, availability, license obligations, datarooms, and data extraction techniques. Studio Knowledge Understand architecture and best practices for studio/Petrel data management.Experience with publishing workflows, seismic storage, metadata, registration, and media management. Seismic Database Experience with Cegal SDM or similar databases preferred.Manage seismic footprints, identify reduction opportunities, delete and deduplicate data, monitor storage space. Qualifications Mandatory:Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, IT, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of upstream workflows and data impacts.Experience in data profiling and quality principles is advantageous.Preferred:Certified Petroleum Data Analyst (CPDA) credential.
