For Sydney or Melbourne-based estimators, this is an opportunity to step into a senior role on the Sunshine Coast without stepping backwards professionally.
About the Role
You will take ownership of estimating and cost planning across a range of high-quality building projects, working closely with senior leaders, commercial teams and delivery teams.
This is not a soft regional move. It is a senior estimating role with genuine project substance, strong pipeline and influence across pricing strategy, risk review, methodology and project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
* Preparing detailed estimates, cost plans and tender submissions
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
* Measuring quantities and preparing trade scopes
* Managing subcontractor and supplier pricing
* Identifying risks, exclusions, gaps and value engineering opportunities
* Supporting procurement strategy and project handover
* Working closely with construction, commercial and design teams
* Maintaining accurate pricing data and market knowledge
About You
You will be an experienced construction estimator with strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
You may be based in Sydney or Melbourne and considering a move north, or already exploring opportunities in SEQ. This role would suit someone who wants to keep working at a senior level while building a better lifestyle outside work.
Qualifications
* Proven estimating experience within the Australian construction market
* Strong understanding of building methodology, trade pricing and subcontractor engagement
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, scopes and specifications
* Confidence managing trade coverage and tender clarifications
* Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
* Experience with estimating software such as CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft, Bluebeam or similar
