A highly regarded and progressive commercial construction business is seeking to appoint either a Senior Pre-Construction Manager or a Pre-Construction Project Manager to support the continued growth of their Melbourne operation.
This business specialises in delivering high quality commercial workplace and office fit out projects, partnering with well known clients across the corporate, professional services and institutional sectors. This role sits at the front end of project delivery, shaping projects during the design and procurement phases and ensuring the project is set up for successful construction delivery.
You will be responsible for:
* Managing pre-construction delivery across commercial office and workplace projects
* Design management and buildability input during early project phases
* Procurement strategy, subcontractor engagement and tender management
* Cost planning, budgeting and commercial input
* Program development and project planning
* Value engineering and risk identification
* Contract negotiation and consultant coordination
* Stakeholder engagement across clients, consultants and internal delivery teams
To be successful in this role you will have:
* 5+ years' project delivery experience within commercial construction environments
* Proven exposure across minor and major commercial office / workplace projects
* Strong capability across procurement, contracts, programme management and commercial decision making
* Ability to interpret design documentation, assess buildability and identify project risks early
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across clients, consultants and subcontractors
* Experience managing multiple projects concurrently within a fast paced delivery environment
