You will work in Business Banking portfolio specifically looking after Everyday Business Banking (EBB)/ Payments/ CommBank Health business unit. BB provides products that support the full spectrum of customer needs, from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates.
The BB Line 1 Risk and Controls team is centralised, but sit with their aligned product teams to support them to meet their strategic objectives. You will be working as part of the team focused the Merchants, Payments and CommBank Health product businesses, but the scope of your role will extend to the whole Business Banking division.
The role is embedded here to enable the product teams to execute their end-to-end responsibility for the management and oversight of risks across the entire value chain of their products and suppliers. This role will focus on the part of the product set dedicated to the development and growth of Business Banking products and capability. This includes effectively identifying, understanding, and managing risks, in order to maintain risk within the BB risk appetite.

The Manager, Supplier Risk Governance, is responsible for:
- Supporting on all aspects of supplier lifecycle and governance activities for all of Business Banking;
- Supporting business owners with risk advice on various supplier risk assessments as part of supplier governance obligations;
- Identify, initiate and manage actions to mitigate risks and improve processes, including the completion of risk buy down activities and taking steps to embed a sustainable control setting;
- Manage data quality and maintain various databases (including SRG), and synthesizing this information to produce regular reporting and insights.
- Working closely with the wider Group’s procurement community of stakeholders, including BB Line 1 and Line 2 risk management to ensure relevant supplier and risk management frameworks.

- Experience or exposure to procurement, supplier management, governance, and/or operational risk management.

- Understanding of risk mitigation strategies, and the ability to assess the risk introduced through outsourcing / introduction of new suppliers
