Telecommunications Technician

About the Role
Think you’ve got what it takes to keep Australia connected? We’re looking for Telecommunications Technicians ready for an immediate start—people who aren’t afraid of a few cables, some heights, and the occasional “why isn’t this working?” moment. You’ll be teaming up with riggers and construction crews and the ground force making sure our networks don’t just stand tall, but work.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing and upgrading wireless equipment (RF, fibre, DC systems)
- Running and terminating cables: coax, fibre, DC power, hybrid
- Proof testing and commissioning so the lights go green (and stay green)
- Fault diagnosis with Sherlock Holmes-level attention to detail
- Turning complex technical drawings into “done and dusted” installs
- Working hand in glove with riggers (no glove jokes, we promise)
- Following safety protocols, because we want you back tomorrow
About You
- Experienced Telecommunications Technician (essential)
- Skilled in antenna and feeder cable installs on towers, rooftops, monopoles
- Extra points if you’ve worked with Huawei, Nokia, or Ericsson RBS gear
- White Card, driver’s licence, and a commitment to safety
- Willingness to travel when the job calls (think of it as networking, literally)
