Our client, a Federal Agency, is looking for an EL1 Level - Program Manager to join their team. The EL1 Level - Program Manager will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the agency's objectives.
The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance the agency's interests across a range of forums.
You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm in Geelong or Richmond with a competitive pay rate of $602.55 + Super per hour.
As an EL1 Level - Program Manager you will be:
- Maintaining understanding and knowledge of the Agency and Scheme's purpose, priorities and reforms.
- Defining project work plans and supporting project leads in progress, monitoring and reporting against milestones and deliverables.
- Managing the governance of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Ensuring project workforce coverage and managing the project estimating activities.
- Maintaining project artefacts including project management, change and risk plans, budget, resourcing, scheduling and performance reporting.
Key skills required for the role:
- Proven high quality, articulate stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to liaise with non-project staff in coaching and change management outcome.
- Enthusiasm and proactive drive to continuously improve ways of working whilst keeping delivery on time at the forefront.
- Pragmatic approach to ways of working and not a one size fits all mindset
- Ownership skills
- Word, Outlook, Excel, Power-point
- Ability to demonstrate the development of reporting at an executive level with excellent eye for detail.
- Appreciation and acceptance of changing of priorities to meet the needs of the program (and its participants) - often the requirement to pivot.
- At least competent across all standard PMO functions - with deep focus on reporting, risk and scheduling
