Duties & Responsibilities
* The Head of Finance manages finance functions for the group, including managing cashflows, budgeting and auditing processes, preparation of end of month accounts and year end statutory financial statements, balance sheets and FBT & BAS returns. Account reconciliations and managing end of year are also key responsibilities.
* The Head of Finance will work closely with all leaders to provide support, guidance and advice, identifying areas of improvement to drive business growth.
Key Relationships
* Manages relationship with banks and other key financial institutions, ensuring business funding needs are adequately managed.
* Maintains relationship with insurance agent, providing advice during claims and negotiating annual renewal process.
Strategic & Commercial
* Financial Planning and Analysis: Leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to track performance and provide strategic insights.
* Sales Performance Analysis: Partners with sales teams to analyse data, identify trends, and optimise revenue and profitability.
* Business Partnering with Leadership: Works closely with senior leadership to provide strategic recommendations and drive business growth.
* Pricing Strategy: Develops and implements pricing strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions.
* Reporting and Dashboards: Prepares regular financial reports and performance dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborates with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment on financial targets and strategies.
Financial Reporting
* Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of financial reports.
* Prepares monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring all tax obligations are met.
* Maintains all financial accounts, including assets, ensuring accurate recording of transactions.
Team Leadership
* Led by the Head of Finance, who develops relationships based on trust, respect, and open communication.
* Makes decisions based on what is best for the business and its people, taking ownership of these decisions.
* This role travels to offices to maintain relationships and is an escalation point for the ELT, leaders, finance team, and administration team.
