Join a large, high‑profile government department undergoing significant digital and organisational transformation. Their Information Services Division (ISD) plays a central role in delivering secure, modern ICT environments that support 24/7 operations. Within the ISD, a major multi‑stream technology and asset refresh program is underway-remediating critical ICT capabilities and enabling modern, future‑ready services across the organisation.
As part of this program, the PMO is expanding its change and communications capability, offering you the opportunity to work on complex, high‑impact initiatives that directly influence how the department adopts new systems, processes and technologies.
Your new role
As the Organisational Change & Communications Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of change and communication strategies across a suite of major ICT projects. Working within the Program Management Office, you will shape how change is understood, adopted and embedded across the department.
You will:
* Develop and implement change management strategies, plans and tools across multiple concurrent projects.
* Design and deliver communication plans tailored to diverse audiences and program needs.
* Work autonomously, providing expert advice on change approaches and communication requirements.
* Build strong stakeholder networks and collaborate closely with project teams, business areas and ICT leaders.
* Represent the division in communication forums and contribute to whole‑of‑division change activities.
* Prepare clear, high‑quality written reports on progress, outcomes and recommendations.
* Coach and guide project teams to uplift organisational change capability.
This role spans both program-level and broader divisional initiatives, giving you exposure to significant transformation activities across the entire ICT environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
* 7+ years' experience delivering organisational change management and communications initiatives.
* 3-5 years' experience within ICT‑focused change environments.
* Demonstrated experience in public sector communications and change leadership.
* Training and/or experience in leading organisational change activities.
* Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and customer relationships.
* A highly developed ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
* A self‑motivated, proactive approach with the capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
