selectability is seeking a talented and enthusiastic corporate communications officer to join our dynamic team.
In this exciting role, you'll be instrumental in delivering clear, compelling messages that resonate with both internal and external audiences.
We're going through a stage of rapid growth and need someone who wants to grow with us!
You'll be working across a range of areas, including:
Website development:Lead the refresh of our most important platform!
Use your creative flair to give our website an overhaul to increase traffic and help more regional Queenslanders connect with the support they need!
Content creation:Develop and write compelling content for selectability's internal and external communications channels, including employee newsletter, website, and annual report.
Social media management:Support the corporate social media strategy, creating engaging content and posts, monitoring social media channels.
Media management:Assist in managing media enquiries and requests for interviews, drafting press releases to ensure positive media coverage for selectability's programs and initiatives.
Internal communications:Maintain and enhance internal communications, ensuring employees are informed about corporate updates, initiatives, and policies, including managing the intranet once implemented.
Award nominations:Identify opportunities and write submissions for industry awards to recognize selectability's contribution to regional Queensland's wellbeing.
Campaign support:Assist with the development and delivery of communication campaigns to support organizational priorities.
Surveys:Coordinate quarterly consumer surveys and ad hoc internal surveys, including collation of results and data.
Event management:Plan, coordinate, and promote corporate events to ensure alignment with selectability's purpose and goals, generating participation and engagement.
Reporting and analytics:Track the effectiveness of communications efforts, including events and social media campaigns, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

About you
To be considered for this rewarding role, you will have:
An understanding of mental health, NDIS, or community services sector (advantageous)
Experience creating content for print, digital, and social media platforms
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong stakeholder relationships
Highly developed person-centred communication skills
Creative, proactive communication skills with excellent social media writing
Experience in event planning, coordination, and delivery
Teamwork skills to collaborate across departments
Experience in social media management and content creation (desirable)
Attention to detail and consistency
Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
Capacity to work independently, exercise initiative, and establish clear objectives
Positive, can-do attitude
Role Requirements
A degree in communications, public relations, marketing, event management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools
Willingness to travel to selectability sites as needed
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) is an advantage
Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) or ability to obtain before starting
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain before starting
Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" or ability to obtain before starting
