Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately 8000 members. The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700 -1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
