As our Web & Cloud Technology Practice Lead, reporting to the Head of Product for Digital Technology, you will be responsible for leading the Web and Cloud Practice to ensure alignment across the team, implementing best practices, principles, and guidelines for the team to follow, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and innovations. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and mentor a talented development team of 5 to 10 cloud and web developers. You’ll provide hands-on support and guidance, advising on methodologies, DevOps practices, and the best approaches aligned with the standards of the Star IT Group. A few of your responsibilities: Definition and communication of best practices and guidelines that the digital team must follow during implementation and delivery of all digital products. Supervise the delivery of Solution design of new digital capabilities, including consultation with other relevant teams, such as Architecture, integration, or Data Analytics. Research, Proof of Concept and implementation of new technologies applicable to The Digital Star’s operating environment for adoption including cloud services such as AWS, Azure. Definition and guidance of the Software development and DevOps cycles, ensuring high-quality products are delivered by the team. Assist stakeholders in making informed decisions by providing expert guidance and recommendations about technical matters, from Agile best practices to giving diagnosis and troubleshooting on digital issues. What we are looking for: 10 years verifiable experience in software development Strong experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, automation Deep technical expertise on Mobile and Web Technologies Demonstrable experience working within a quality oriented / TDD / test-first approach to software development.
