We are seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our talented and dedicated kitchen team at The Range @ Curlewis and who will perfectly complement our unique, hip venue!

All about the role:
• Responsible for assisting the Head Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for service
• Liaise with the Front of House team regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes
• Hands on supervision and motivation of the kitchen team
• Training and development of more junior team members
• Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control whilst maintaining recipe standards
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy & ensuring all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned to OHS standards

• Previous experience in a similar role
• A passion for leading, developing and inspiring team members in order to provide career growth
• Industry leading knowledge of current food trends
• Strong work ethic with a passion to create unique and memorable dining experiences
• Great communication skills
• Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
• Excellent organisational skills & grooming standards
• Ability to maintain food safety standards and HACCP requirements
• Trade qualified
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
