What You'll Be Working On
As an HR Advisor, you'll play a hands‐on role supporting leaders across a fast‐paced retail and warehouse environment in ANZ. This is a varied position that goes beyond traditional advisory – you'll be coaching leaders, building capability, and contributing to people initiatives that drive real business outcomes.
Your responsibilities include:
* Partnering with leaders to provide practical, day‐to‐day HR guidance across employee relations, performance and engagement
* Coaching and upskilling managers to build leadership capability and confidence in managing their teams
* Supporting and leading end‐to‐end ER matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and commercially sound outcomes
* Contributing to and delivering HR projects and learning and development initiatives
* Monitor and report on trends, taking proactive, hands‐on steps to implement solutions that build and sustain high‐performance teams and culture.
* Supporting talent and succession planning activities to strengthen internal capability
* Collaborating with wider HR and business teams to continuously improve processes and ways of working
Experience that would suit the role:
* 2-3 years HR Advisor or Generalist experience, ideally in fast‐paced Retail, FMCG or warehouse environments.
* Strong knowledge of Australia employment legislation, modern awards and HR best practices. Experience with NZ Employment legislation is highly desirable.
* Proven experience managing employee relations matters and supporting leaders with practical HR solutions
* Demonstrated ability to coach and influence stakeholders at different levels
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills with a hands‐on, approachable style
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, high‐volume environment
* Commercial mindset with a proactive, solutions‐focused approach
* High attention to detail and confidence working with HR systems and data
