Collection Manager and Cultural Historian
We are seeking an experienced Collection Manager and Cultural Historian to join our institution in a part-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the documentation and management of our collections, including research and development of grants and public programmes.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, demonstrated primary research skills, and knowledge and experience in contemporary management of historical and/or cultural collections. They will also possess skills and knowledge in the development of contemporary museum exhibitions and other museum interpretive programmes.
The Collection Manager and Cultural Historian will manage collection stores, facilitate access to the collection and information, conduct significance assessments, and train and supervise direct reports.
