ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, you will be working across the Medical/Surgical team and perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurses and Shift Leaders, ensuring a high level of quality care is provided at all times. Working with a professional and multidisciplinary team, your role will also involve, but is not limited to:
* Checking, preparing and administering medication in accordance with registration requirements, relevant legislation and organisation policies and procedures;
* Participating in patient care rounds to ensure that patient needs are met;
* Continually providing and exceeding the highest level of nursing care.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* 3 years of prior experience working in a surgical/ medical setting;
* Demonstrated experience providing high standards of customer service;
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
* Excellent time management skills;
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
REMUNERATION
$36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in Port Macquarie, is a 72-bed acute Medical/Surgical and Rehab facility with 6 Renal Chairs and a Day Surgery complex. Comprehensive Medical/Surgical services are offered with 24-hour Medical Officer Support, including Orthopaedics, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Bariatric and Vascular, Plastic & Ophthalmology.
This year marks a significant capital expansion, including introducing a new theatre and a comprehensive overhaul of CSSD, making it a great time to be a part of this new development.
