About Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse
We are a large, independently owned Australian pharmaceutical group with a strong national footprint, operating over 50 retail stores across Australia. Our Brisbane Southside head office supports more than 600 employees nationwide and is home to a collaborative, friendly team of around 40 staff.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant & Payroll Officer to join our close-knit finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure across payroll, accounting, and financial operations within a large, multi-entity retail and franchise group. With more than 40 entities and an annual external audit, this role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop their technical skills in a complex, high-volume environment.

You will report to the CFO and work closely with the Payroll Officer and Senior Accountant as part of a 7-FTE finance team.

Key Responsibilities
• End-to-end payroll processing, including wages, locums, leave, terminations and adjustments
• Payroll journals, reconciliations and month-end reporting support
• Managing inter-store employee charges across multiple entities
• Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including high-volume imports and reconciliations
• Supporting ATO compliance (including BAS) and year-end external audit process

Full training is provided. A sound understanding of month-end reconciliations is essential; payroll experience is an advantage.

Key Skills
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting with 1-3 years' relevant experience (public practice advantageous)
• Strong Excel and technical accounting skills
• Payroll experience, ideally across multiple entities
• Excellent organisation and time management with the ability to prioritise
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High integrity, accountability, and ability to work independently with ownership of tasks
